Having you around probably means that you might be considering taking this master’s degree, or you might be indecisive whether teaching is your thing.  Let us tell you a few things about our journey through this MA.

Going through this Màster de Formació al professorat de Secundària has been like a rollercoaster: it has provided us with great knowledge on teaching and it has also helped us gain experience thanks to the practicum.

 

But it would not be fair to say that it was an easy ride. It has definitely tested our nerves on doing exams and accomplishing the multiple projects’ deadlines. However, as future teachers (and so, resourceful people) of course we have managed to go through thick and thin.

 

As any rollercoaster, there have been ups, learning about teaching, being in front of a secondary class for the first time, creating what would be our baby (the teaching unit) and delivering it to the high school / EOI where we were sent. And surely there have been downs as well: the frustration of not having enough time to carry out the tasks, the confusion as to which might be the best method of teaching, finding the correct balance between group work and fill in the gaps, and how to modernise education through the use of ICT. So in the end, that’s nothing but a reflection of real life: bumpy at times, smooth at others.

By now you might be wondering: “So, is the effort worth it?”. Well, we agree that the ride was definitely worth it because now we are fully qualified teachers ready to use TBL, PBL, wordles, kahoots, and even confident enough to throw papers in the air. What’s more, we are looking forward more than ever to starting an even longer ride: our career as teachers.
